Novak Construction is a Chicago-based national general contractor specializing in complex projects across retail, healthcare, industrial, and cold storage sectors. We are known for quality, safety, and strong client partnerships.

We’re seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead Costco remodels and ground-up construction projects across the country.

Responsibilities

Lead all on-site construction activities
Manage large crews (100+ personnel) and subcontractors
Create and maintain project schedules
Ensure OSHA safety compliance and jobsite standards
Monitor quality, progress, and budgets
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders
Conduct site inspections and resolve issues

Qualifications

10+ years of construction supervision experience
5+ years managing large commercial/industrial projects
Experience with large retail projects (Costco or similar big-box)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel nationally
Valid driver’s license

Preferred

Degree in Construction Management or related field
OSHA 30+ certification
Experience with ProCore, Bluebeam, or AutoDesk
Experience working in active/open-store environments
